are all the rage in this day and age. Women working on their own, from their home offices, being mothers during the day and going into women's homes at night and selling their items. Examples include skin care companies coming into ladies homes by familiar names such as BeautiControl, Avon and Mary Kay. Jewelry companies using the in home parties venue through Lia Sophia, Jewels by Park Lane, Cookie Lee, Silpada and more.
Home decor parties, food parties, and it goes on and on. You can even have a in home party to purchase wine.
In home parties are an ingenious idea. Lowering overhead cost since the parties are held in ladies homes, they can sell the items for less and offer these hostesses rewards for having a good party.
This plan also enables women to work in the home and bring in that needed second income without leaving the home (other than for the parties themselves) or needing babysitters. Most in home party plans are called MLM's or Multi Level Marketing. Don't let someone tell you these are pyramid schemes, because they aren't. A pyramid scheme is where you sell nothing but make money from levels of people paying in to the scheme.
MLM's are Multi Level, meaning you do sign people up for the company and they are placed below you or in legs as some companies work. And you do make residual income off of their retail amount. Companies differ, some pay less- some pay more. Our company pays 5% on 3 levels at the top level. That can add up to a lot of money.
Getting involved in MLM's is also great for your taxes. Having an in home business allows you write offs for your office, a portion of your home, your vehicle, as well as any hostess fee's paid out are deductible, etc.
